FOUNDER OF SAWANG EXPORT PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED
Started by Mr. Sawang Maneepairoj in 1941, a shophouse front turned into a publicly traded company with more than 200 staffs.
1941
‘MEH SENG MONG’
Our first address at 130 Soi Wanich 1 Talat Noi was the humble beginning in 1941. Meh Seng Mong was our start in the gemstone trade, selling to traders who came to Bangkok looking for quality wholesale products.
1964
Meh Seng Mong was later changed to Sawang Gems Partnership. Within the same year, the company moved to Surawong Road with operations expanding into gemstone and jewelry export.
1972
SAWANG EXPORT CO., LTD & SAWANG JEWELRY LP.
Sawang Export Co., Ltd. and Sawang Jewelry Lp. were created to cater to the growing business of gemstone and jewelry exports with rubies and blue sapphires as the main products. Through our experts, gemstones were sorted to required size and shape before delivering world-wide to jewelers in Japan, Hong Kong, Europe, and the United States.
1988
SAWANG EXPORT CO., LTD.
As the export business grew, the company went through another expansion and consolidation. Sawang Export Co., Ltd. combined gemstone wholesale and jewelry manufacturing, becoming a one-stop-service for our clientele.
1991
SAWANG EXPORT PUBLIC COMPANY LIMITED
Listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand on April 24th, 1991
The company was listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand in 1991 to keep up with the expanding export business. From 1941, the company grew into a reliable and trusted source for gemstone sourcing and high quality jewelry manufacturing.
